Restoring "Hope" Soap

Restoring "Hope" Soap

Have you ever felt helpless in a dire situation and wanted to help, but didn't know how? Me too.  After seeing the mass destruction in the wake of Hurricane Helene my little southern heart had all I could handle of feeling helpless. My love language is doing so I had to find something to do. I put my servant's heart to work, and I created the Restoring "Hope" soap bar.

I chose the word Hope because it is one of the most powerful feelings we can give someone after such a tragedy as this. The two essential oils used in this formula were also purposely chosen. Frankincense symbolizes worship & prayer, something we can all afford to give our fellow Americans from the comfort of our homes. Myrrh symbolizes sacrifice and suffering, which is exactly what these people have been enduring. My goal for the Restoring "Hope" bar is to continue to raise funds and awareness for these good people. Once the news crews pull out of these areas, and the social media buzz dies down, I fear that these people will be forgotten and left to struggle through the holiday season. These people I speak of are some of my very own customers, their families, friends, and their entire communities.

The Restoring "Hope" Bars are sold for $8.99 each. All proceeds, ($5 per bar) minus the cost to make these bars ($3.99 each to make),  will be donated DIRECTLY to those affected by Hurricane Helene, Local vetted churches with feet on the ground in those areas & their communities, and lastly the Amazon wish list of The Cajun Navy who has been doing an amazing job. I will post weekly updates of the total sales and donations on my social media platforms for all to follow along.

Our Restoring "Hope" Bars are made with 100% grass-fed beef tallow, organic coconut oil, olive oil, castor oil, distilled water, caustic soda, Moroccan clay powder, mica powder, frankincense and myrrh pure essential oils.

These soaps are made using the cold process method & are allowed to cure 4-6 weeks to ensure hardness, durability, & to ensure that they are long-lasting. These bars are made to be used on both hands & body. For external use only! Each bar weighs 4 ounces or more each.

SOAP CARE
INSTRUCTIONS

How to care for & get the most from our soaps

Keep your soap dry with a self-draining soap holder that has ridges or raised nubs for the soap to fully drain on. Apply the soap bar to a washcloth or loofah and use that to lather yourself. Once used, make sure it gets air. Just coming and going from the bathroom will naturally circulate air. Before use, store your soap in a cool, dry, preferably dark area. Avoid direct light, excessive heat, and humidity. Store scented soap in a container, such as a cardboard soap box.  Dry Soap Lasts Longer: When soap sits in water it breaks down and liquifies to a gel or thick liquid state. Using a good soap holder that keeps the soap elevated will help a great deal. If possible, use a self-draining soap rack or dish that does not retain a pool of standing water. Even when the soap bar is half an inch above the water, the glycerin (cleaning agent) of the bar can draw in nearby moisture a bit. Proper Storage Preserves Soap: Glycerin is the cleaning agent in soap. It is natural and is often removed from commercial soap to be replaced with artificial detergents. This is because glycerin is extremely valuable, and they sell it off at a high profit while giving you cheap chemicals as a replacement. The glycerin in your handcrafted soap is a wonderful thing that attracts moisture and helps pull dirt from the pores of your skin. The fact that it attracts water means it can pull it right from the air and keep your soap less dry than you’d like.
