Grab a shovel & have a seat,

Welcome to my Garden Community!

Gardening Simplified

First and foremost, Thank you for coming along for this journey! I promise you won't be disappointed. My name is Megan London. I am a 35 year old housewife/homemaker to 3 beautiful children, my husband, and the whopping 13 pets we have. With a household of 6, I've felt the overwhelming feeling of seeing inflation in our grocery store prices and it breaks my heart. Choosing between bills and food is not a choice any mother should have to make. Sadly, It is many of our realities.

I've been gardening for many years, since childhood to be exact. However, the huge rise in prices have been my biggest motivator in 2022. My mission is to educate others on how to grow their own food, in hopes that YOUR wallets feel less effected when feeding your family. We have been conditioned to believe that we should put in 8 hours of work per day for an employer to make money to buy food, and we do just that. Imagine if we put that type of motivated discipline just 1 hour per day towards a food garden? Essentially you would be replacing more than just money. If you cut your grocery bill in half by growing your own food you could easily work less for someone else. That's right...cut your food costs down and time needed to make that money you would've used to buy groceries!

Is it that easy? Absolutely. If you are a mom or dad, then you have successfully kept a child alive...right? Then keeping a plant alive should be childs play for you. Don't you need a lot of money for gardening? NO, my first garden in my new home cost me $40 the ENTIRE YEAR. I spend $800-$1200 monthly in groceries so $40 was virtually nothing in comparison. I didn't even have a tiller/cultivator.....i had a SHOVEL haha.

Well dang Megan, you make gardening sound easy. That's because it is. It does not have to be complicated nor expensive. It just takes a little planning, some basic knowledge and most importantly DEDICATION. I don't know about other people, but saving any amount of money or time makes me excited. We all know time flys when you are having fun. So let me simplify your gardening experience so that it is fun and beneficial to you and your family.

I am using this blog, and my social media platforms to build a gardening community packed full of tips, information, education, free & simple ways to get the maximum yields in all of our gardens, and a way for us all to communicate between one another throughout the year. Updates will be posted several times a week across all platforms. So please join along whether you're an expert gardener and want to help others, or if you are a beginner and want to learn!

1 Peter 4:10 NIV
